Prepare the meal

Let the cauliflower rice saga continue for a bit

And a new Herb Blend to try

Farm Boy

Ras el hanout is a fragrant and versatile Moroccan spice blend known for its complex flavor profile. It typically includes a mix of warm spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, along with other ingredients like cumin, coriander, ginger, and sometimes more exotic additions like rose petals, saffron, or even dried berries. ㋡

A new fresh herb as well

Curry Herb
The term "curry herb" can refer to Helichrysum italicum, also known as the curry plant, a perennial herb with a strong, curry-like scent. It is not related to the curry spice, but rather gets its name from the aroma of its leaves. The plant is native to the Mediterranean and is used in both culinary and ornamental settings.

Cauliflower-rice and beans, veggie bowl

  • 2 t. olive oil, or something else neutral
  • 1/2 chopped red onion
  • 1 c. chopped green veggies: green beans, zucchini, celery, or peppers (colour is okay too!)
If something will take longer to cook: add it first.
  • 1 c. cauliflower rice (see: In case you didn't make the cauliflower rice yet)
  • 1 can of red beans, drained and rinsed
  • pinch of salt if desired
  • 1 - 2 cloves garlic
  • ground herbs: cumin, tumeric, chili powder would be good. Ras el hanout is even better. It will make your mouth happy* when you eat it
  • fresh herbs: oregano, French tarragon, maybe some Curry herb

Optional garnishes: cilantro, jalapeno, avocado, tomato, etc…

In case you didn't make the cauliflower rice yet: Roughly chop a small head of cauliflower and throw it all into a food processor. Just make sure the pieces are small enough to spread easily. Process until it's like rice < 1 minute.

Prepartion:

  1. Heat a large pan or wok over medium heat, and add olive oil and onion.  Cook for 2 minutes and then add veggies that will take longest to cook, like green beans, green peppers or celery;

Cook, and add the veggies you want to keep the freshest at the very end; about 3-5 minutes altogether.

The next step is a short cut. Feel free to heat seperately. It will look better layered I bet, but it still tastes yummy

  1. Add the cauliflower-rice to the pan and spread around to catch the heat. After a minute or so, add the beans as well.

  2. Add ground seasonings and any remaining fresh herbs. Stir again.

  3. Remove from heat. Garnish at will!

Serve in a bowl, and enjoy.

It was a happy mouth ッ
